Coombs ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ

All instruments ┃ Ages 16-18 ┃ £2,000 Funding

The Coombs Scholarship was created in 2007 in memory of Future Talent’s first administrator, Lucy Coombs. The award honours her enthusiasm and commitment to the charity’s mission. This special Named Award provides not only an increased financial bursary of £2,000, but also unique solo performance opportunities and the chance to be an ambassador for young musicians.

Past recipients include double bassist Toby (2011), saxophonist Rob (2016), cellist Willard (2019), violinist Teagan (2024). Previous recipients of the Coombs Scholarship have gone on to become professional musicians.

"I am deeply honoured to have been awarded the Coombs Scholarship this year. The team at Future Talent are so supportive, and I am certain that the friendships I have made with other musicians they work with, shall continue to flourish throughout my career."
